White Linen Night: Sip, Stroll & Sweat It Out!in Life, Heights, Do

White Linen Night is undoubtedly one of our favorite nights of the year. We love the Heights and White Linen Night is a celebration of all things great about the Heights: its art scene, its walkability, its great shopping and dining, and of course, the overall friendliness and sense of community that the neighborhood represents. Mix in a few cocktails, as many White Linen Night veterans tend to do, and you’ve got yourself a grand ol’ time.
This year’s edition, which takes place on Saturday, August 6th, will mark the 10th year for White Linen Night in the Heights. The event was originally brought to us by New Orleans natives who were misplaced by Katrina. Many of them settled here in the Heights because its warm and friendly feel was similar to what they were accustomed to back in New Orleans. To feel even more at home, these new Houstonians wanted to bring a cherished New Orleans event to the Heights. And that’s just what they did, transporting the jovial and boozy celebration of local businesses and artists (and cool white linen attire) from the French Quarter’s Arts District to the Heights’ 19th Street.
Since arriving in the Heights ten years ago, White Linen Night has expanded from a small, fun neighborhood event to a massive celebration that brings thousands of Houstonians to the Heights on the first Saturday of each August. We expect this year’s to be the biggest yet and that means it’s deserving of a grand pre-party. So we’re excited to be joining Boulevard Realty as hosts of a joyous event before the main festivities begin over on 19th Street.
Join us at 5 PM on the 6th at broker Bill Baldwin’s magnificent listing, 1035 Harvard, for Karbach brews, Spiked MAM’s snoballs, a live performance from Craig Kinsey and His Band, tasty treats from Foodgasm and St. John’s Fire food trucks, and just an overall good time! And don’t worry if you get a little tipsy, we’ll have a free shuttle service to take you on up to the party on 19th Street.
We hope you’ll join us in toasting the Heights on this wonderful night!
