Listing activity was down this week, however, new sales contracts were double last week's figures. So which properties that were Still on My List are now under contract and potentially out of reach? Keep scrolling down for all of the details!

January Stats are In!
HAR announced in their latest press release, "Houston Real Estate Enjoys a Strong Start to 2020". Houston experienced a 14.3 percent increase in single-family home sales in January compared to January of 2019 while the median sale price (the figure at which half of the homes sold for more and half sold for less) rose 4.5%. 

Our experience in the Heights was a bit more subdued with a decrease in units sold and just a slight increase in the median sales price. Here's how the Heights fared:

The environment for home sales continues to be positive. The average interest rate for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage dropped to 3.45% last week (per Freddy Mac). However, available inventory remains low with only 3.4 months of inventory on hand here in the Heights.
