Hello BBBB Friends:

In the Heights, listings continue to come online and offers are being made and accepted. Check out the stats box for a quick overview of activity.  Of the 17 new listings, I've selected 5 to share with you this week. I also have a few status changes including price reductions, new contracts and final sales for homes that are Still on My List. Scroll down to the bottom to be sure to see all the changes!

DEADLINES APPROACHING
If you are currently a homeowner, there are two deadlines approaching which may apply to you:

April 30: Deadline to file for a homestead exemption. You only have to file once, however, for all you eager beavers that bought a home in 2019 and filed for the exemption last year, HCAD ignored it so be sure to file in 2020. (And don't forget to file for the "over 65" exemption if you will reach that milestone anytime in 2020!) If you need to apply, there are a couple of ways to do it:
  • HCAD Apps for iPhone and Android
  • Fillable/printable form: Application for Residence Homestead Exemption (includes the accompanying affidavit)
    • Very important! The address on your Driver's License must match the property address.
May 15:  Deadline to protest your property tax valuation. If you would like a complimentary Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) to assist you with your protest, email me at [email protected]
