HURRICANE SEASON IS HERE
Tomorrow is the first day of hurricane season and it's a good time to double check that your flood insurance policy is in force. If you haven't signed up yet, remember it takes 30 days for new policies to go into effect. An exception to the 30 day rule is made for home buyers who are financing their new home. If you are paying cash, the 30 day waiting period applies. Just a sad reminder, 75% of homes damaged by Hurricane Harvey were located outside the 100 yr flood plain and 80% of homes impacted were not covered by flood insurance.
