Busy, busy week for real estate in the Heights with the second-highest number of listings and new contracts (37 and 29 respectively) this year. Catch up on price changes, new contracts, and final sales for homes that are Still on My List by scrolling down past the featured listings.

GOING GREEK
I am featuring 6 new listings this week. Three are built in the Greek Revival architectural style. Most Greek Revival homes in the Heights follow the Creole-style popularized in New Orleans as opposed to the classic temple form. Greek revival homes typically feature:
  • wide double gallery porches spanning the width of the house
  • columns with molded capitals at the top and bottom, sometimes very ornate in the Ionic, Doric, and Corinthian styles
  • Corbels along the roofline (think wide brackets)
  • Frequently the roof appears flat from the front
